Some thoughts on Music: Raag Yaman |

Dear Music lovers,

It gives me great pleasure in informing you that Nirvan Foundation Trust (NFT) is celebrating its third anniversary “NAMAN SANDHYA” on the 11th November 2006 through a prayerful offering of music for the enhancement of our inner consciousness. Two of the greatest artistes who are legends in the field of Indian Classical Music have consented to perform on this occasion. The concerts are being held at the API Bhavana (Association of Physicians of India) a serene auditorium with the required ambience for our musical prayer. The details of the programme are as follows: music.

Hindustani Violin Concert by Dr.N.Rajam
Accompanied on the Tabla by Sri Ravindra Yavagal

Tabla Solo by Pandit Suresh Talwalkar
Accompanied by
Charudutt Phadke (Tabla support)
Milind Kulkarni (Harmonium)
Kumar Mardur (Vocal)

Nirvan Foundation Trust (NFT) is a public charitable trust established on the 8th August 2003. NFT aims at promotion, support, research and education in music keeping in mind its universal character to bring about an awareness of music in society by exploring the spiritual and cultural dimension of music. The activities of NFT are conducted by trustees and patrons, who are from various walks of life with a deep interest in music.

As the above programmes involve a huge expenditure we are looking for a positive support by way of sponsorship / contributions / donations from music lovers, corporate bodies and other institutions. We are functioning as a registered trust and voluntary contributions made to our Trust qualify for tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. At present we have been managing our activities by ourselves without any support from any Government or private institutions. Kindly respond to our humble appeal for support to work towards the cause of promotion of music with an intention to preserve the cultural and spiritual heritage of our country.

Thanking You.
Regards
K.S.RAJESH (Flute Artiste & Music Composer)
Founder, Nirvan Foundation Trust
